15 years has probably given us the best database in the food service industry – not just the numbers – outlets; customer numbers and reach; lines stocked; CRM resource. But also key Decision Makers by sector; respective strengths of best channels for distribution and potential sales growth. We also understand some of the minutiae – e.g. packaging formats; impact of shelf life; promotional cycles; their CRM and seasonality.
Doing the hard yards.
We need to know clients inside out – brands; distribution; people; end consumer profile; marketing and sales activities; successes and indeed failures. As any Olympic athlete will tell you, gold medals aren’t won in Tokyo but in the years before. So it’s about partnership, working together to deliver best outcomes and being totally practical about ‘the training plan’.
Sometimes we win but…
There is no guaranteed success formula. But we have learnt that our sector knowledge and their working practices gives us the best chance of success. And success can take time – 3-6 months or more.
Time and cost efficient it allows us to talk to the right person, with the right message, at the right time. Our database makes the most of known existing contacts (they know us and will listen! )
